Concert – “A Journey to Switzerland”

April 22 @ 7:00 pm

Come join us on a musical trip to Switzerland as the Wasatch Alphorns and American Fork’s own solo flutist, Dr. Adrienne Tedjamulia Read perform Swiss music with the Wasatch Winds Symphonic Band. Alphorns are native to Switzerland and have been used by mountain dwellers in the Swiss Alps to communicate between villages for centuries. 15 to 20 alphorn players will be performing. Concert goers will have the opportunity to make a sound on the alphorn at the end of the concert.

Dr. Adrienne Tedjamulia Read is native to American Fork, attending American Fork HS while John Miller was the director. Adrienne currently teaches at Chipola College, Bethune-Cookman University, and serves as interim director of the Florida State University Baroque Ensemble.

A special treat is the Swiss Bakery will be giving out samples and selling authentic Swiss baked goods in the front lobby.
